Employee Spotlight marcelo

What’s your title/role at BrightInsight?

Vice President of Customer Success. I lead the Customer Success function.

Customer Outcomes and Customer Experience are our focus. We help our existing customers obtaining the most from their investment in BrightInsight.

We work closely with customers and with all functions at BI. Continuously aligning expectations, objectives and processes.

Success is when we see our customers and their products achieving the desired targets. Improving patient lives and clinical outcomes.

A great customer experience is the result of predictable, flexible and professional interactions.

Can you share a bit of background on yourself?

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I grew up in the middle of “The Pampas”. Away from the city and in a small town. I attended school there. During my teens I attended boarding school a couple of hours away from home.

I came back to Buenos Aires for my university studies. I left Argentina after my first job, 24 years ago. I worked and lived in Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica and Canada, before arriving here in Switzerland.

Switzerland is home now.

What is your favorite food?

Probably octopus, prepared the way they do in Northern Spain. Italian food comes close.

Where is your favorite place on earth?

High Engadin, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden.

It is a magical place. More than a mile high. The light is inspiring. It is enjoyable in every season. Idyllic hikes and refreshing swims in the lakes during summer. Great skiing in winter. Blue skies and gorgeous sun year around.

Which of BrightInsight’s Values most resonates with you and why?

Passionate about transforming care and patient outcomes.

I come from the pharmaceutical industry and have found in Digital Health a way to benefit patients through technology.

Our work amplifies the impact of the medicines our customers create.

Passion is required to continue to focus. The challenges we tackle are not simple. Without a True North it is easy to be distracted.

What is your favorite part about working at BrightInsight?

There are many things which come to mind.

We are already quite an international company. I enjoy our diversity. Many of us come from Biopharma. We have been in our customer shoes. We know how big companies think.

We are growing fast and it is very easy for everybody in the company to talk with anybody else. Even our founders are always available.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Playing tennis. Running. Reading. Hiking. Skiing.
