Employee Spotlight: Varsha Agarwal, Sr. Director of Platform Engineering and Ping Pong Master!

What’s your title/role at BrightInsight? 

As Sr. Director of Platform Engineering, my role is to lead the BrightInsight digital health platform development including architecture, development, and verification complying with 62304 software development standards.

Can you share a bit of background on yourself?

I grew up in Pune, India. I finished my schooling and higher education in Pune. I have completed my masters in computer science and started my first job there as a software Engineer. I came to USA in 2001 and been living in Silicon Valley since.

What is your favorite food?

I love Indian street food and try to enjoy it every opportunity I get. I also like Italian food.

Where is your favorite place on earth?

Costa Rica! I went there a couple of decades back for the first time and fell love with all of Costa Rica.

What is your favorite part about working at BrightInsight?

I have always with worked with startups in my career and BrightInsight is a special one. The platform, we are developing, can have a positive impact on patient care and effects all of us in some way. The satisfaction of developing software that can create such an impact is so different.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Playing ping pong and traveling!
