Employee Spotlight: Terry Ye, Director of Strategy and Operations and Aspiring Artist!

What’s your title/role at BrightInsight? 

Director, Strategy and Operations. In my role, I lead cross-functional initiatives impacting delivery of our product and services and help scale best practices to support our growth.

Can you share a bit of background on yourself?

I was born and raised in New York City. After graduating college in Philadelphia, I returned to NYC to start a leadership rotational program at Merck. Prior to joining BrightInsight, I led operational excellence initiatives at Anthem to improve patient outcomes across the Medicaid and Medicare lines of business.

What is your favorite food?

I love all food but am really enjoying summer stone fruit this year (plums, peaches, nectarines!)

Where is your favorite place on earth?

During these COVID times, I love my daily walks along Brooklyn Bridge Park and watching the sunset on the Manhattan cityscape.

Trust each other and display integrity in everything we do.

To be successful in tackling hard problems in healthcare, a high level of trust must exist between team members. At BrightInsight, trust allows members of the team to be vulnerable, ask for help when needed, and creatively support challenges together.

What is your favorite part about working at BrightInsight?

My favorite part of working at BrightInsight is the culture. Everyone is encouraged to learn and challenge themselves to build innovative solutions for our customers, for the end goal of transforming patient outcomes.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy reading the latest fiction novels. I’ve also returned to an old hobby of drawing and painting, which has been exciting to explore (and hopefully improve) in my spare time.
