Director of Design Quality Engineering – My team ensures the quality and compliance of the software we develop on behalf of our clients.
I grew up in Saugus, a town on the North Shore of Massachusetts. I studied Applied Math at Harvard. After that, I helped found a medical device digital health startup, then took a detour into doing research for the FAA on manned and unmanned aircraft collision avoidance systems. I then got my MBA and a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT via a joint degree graduate program called the Leaders for Global Operations (LGO). After that, I spent 9 years with Amgen in various quality related roles as part of a leadership rotation program and finally ended up back with a medical device digital health startup (BrightInsight) in 2020. I now live in a small seaside community in Rhode Island with my wife and two boys.
The famous Massachusetts North Shore roast beef sandwich of course! – specifically, super beef with American cheese and barbecue sauce (gotta get the onion roll).
Maui – there is no rationale answer to this question other than somewhere in Hawaii.
Trust each other and display integrity in everything we do
Trust each other and display integrity in everything we do as well as accountability. Why? Trust, Integrity and Accountability are the foundation of high performing teams, and high-performing teams can do great things together!
Two things: 1) the rush of building a company from the ground-up & 2) the direct, immediate and visible impact my work has on the company’s success.
Sports-related, mainly: I’m in a tennis league, I golf when I can, I coach my son’s little league, follow the local teams etc.
