I am the Information Security & Compliance Analyst for BrightInsight. I work with our Information Security and Data Privacy team to ensure that BrightInsight’s IT operations, and platform offerings are secure and compliant with global standards, regulations, including our policies and procedures. My mission is to curate a culture within BrightInsight that maintains security and data privacy top of mind for every initiative carried out.
I grew up in East Palo Alto California and had the opportunity to gain an education in Palo Alto through the Tinsley Voluntary Transfer Program. This program gave minorities who were denied an equal education the opportunity to transfer to districts that provided rich educational resources. I studied and obtained my degree in the Bay Area. As I gained experience working in the medical health industry, I recognized that protecting patient personal health information (PHI) was critical as to treating their condition, which led me to cybersecurity and data privacy.
I appreciate a variety of foods such as Mexican, Mediterranean and Indian, I love the spices!
My favorite place on earth is near the ocean, where the depths of the sea show me that life is a mystery and where the sun in the sky invigorates my soul with hope and peace.
Trust each other and display integrity in everything we do resonates with me because it requires trust to step into new territories and integrity to walk through innovative processes. When we execute from a posture of integrity, our work and conversations become intentional, and our outcomes are impactful.
What I most appreciate about working at BrightInsight are the brilliant individuals I get to collaborate with and the permission for passion entrusted to us by our leaders.
Outside of work I enjoy running, hiking and find reward in serving my local community through music and different forms of expressive arts.
