Elena leads data privacy for BrightInsight. In her role as Data Privacy Officer, she manages the company’s global data protection strategy and programs, and positions BrightInsight products for global regulatory readiness.
Elena has over 20 years of privacy, regulatory, compliance and risk management experience working for Fortune 100 and 500 companies with global operations in Retail, Legal, and Healthcare industries. Prior to joining BrightInsight, she was part of Medtronic’s privacy team where she led privacy by design requirements for engineering globally compliant solutions for business partners. Elena also worked in privacy and compliance roles at Land O’Lakes, Deluxe Corporation, Walmart, Yale University, and law firms Dorsey & Whitney and Dewey & LeBoeuf.
Elena has B.A. in Linguistics, an M.A. in Economics, and a J.D. She is certified as a Data Privacy Solutions Engineer with ISACA and a Certified Information Privacy Manager with IAPP. Elena lives in Minnesota where she helps run a non-for-profit organization “Marvelous Women’s Club of MN” that assists female Russian-speaking immigrants integrate into their new adopted country.
