Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.

A: I’m fortunate to have gained over thirty years of technology leadership experience growing, scaling, and transforming global businesses ranging from $3-20B in the Life Sciences and Software Industry.

As the former Chief Information Officer for Workday and Amgen, I focus the majority of my time today in the healthcare and technology space. I serve on the boards of MetLife, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Change Healthcare and Paradox. I am a Special Advisor at Brighton Park Capital and a technology advisor for and investor in a number of exciting healthcare technology and brain-health focused startups. I enjoy serving as an Advisor to World50’s CIO community and volunteering to grow membership in the NFP communities of One Mind at Work and T200 CXO Women in Technology.

As a thought leader and frequent speaker on digital transformation and diversity, I was honored to be recognized in 2015 as one of the Nation’s Most Powerful Women in Technology. I co-founded the Silicon Valley Women’s CIO Network in 2017 and in 2018, and I was recognized by The San Francisco Business Times on their Forever Influential Women’s list.

I am the mother of two adult sons and thrive when competing in triathlon and adventure races and teaching scuba with my husband.

Q: What excites you most about BrightInsight?

A: I’m most excited about the possibilities BrightInsight’s platform creates for life science and medical device companies - and ultimately their patients.

Today’s healthcare technology leaders are challenged to keep pace with an increasingly dynamic and complex global regulatory and cybersecurity landscape. This challenge is further complicated by the need to attract new talent and reskill their teams to drive digital transformation, critical to the competitive success of their firms.

BrightInsight tackles these challenges by providing a globally healthcare focused, regulatory compliant, and secure infrastructure and data platform as a service. This in turn enables technology leaders to deploy trusted, elegant and differentiating customer facing solutions faster by focusing their scare resources at the application layer where they have the greatest likelihood of benefitting patient outcomes.

Q: Where is your favorite place on earth?

A: Anywhere I can spend undivided time with my husband and our sons’ families or scuba diving far under the surface of our beautiful oceans.
